5 ways to beat midweek crisis
Have you heard of a midweek crisis? It's something
like a midlife crisis but happens in the middle of the week to people of any
age. It could be students, jobholders, or entrepreneurs. It's something that
strikes up anyone who has a regular weekday routine and is relatable, even for
the ones with irregular leaves. It's just a super lazy and demotivated feeling
when you're halfway into the week but not anywhere close to the weekend.
Well, you can't completely get rid of the feeling,
but here are a few tips that help.
Excercise:
If you exercise daily, that's great! Don't make
midweek blues an excuse to skip it. If you don't, pick it up on Wednesday. You
don't need to wait for Monday to exercise. And you don't have to stress out
about not continuing it daily.
Exercising is a great way to beat laziness and feel
motivated. It also helps you freshen up. So, when humpday strikes, move your
body, run, jog, dance, or stretch.
Give
yourself a break:
Just like you don't need Monday to exercise, you
don't need Friday to take a break. Go out with your friends, watch your
favorite movie, or binge on your comfort food. Make it a weekly ritual to give
yourself a little more love on Wednesdays. It will help you look forward to it
instead of dreading it.
But remember that it's Wednesday and not Friday. So,
stay within your limit.
Blast
some music:
Music is therapeutic! Be it calming your anxiety or
helping you get motivated: there's music for everything. So, plug in your
headphone and blast the music that you need. If you're working from home or
your colleagues have the same taste in music, feel free to put it on the
speaker.
Introspect:
Mondays are lethargic, plus there's always so much
to do. Fridays are hasty, and all you want to do is leave the office. So,
Wednesday is the perfect time to analyze how far you've come, the tasks you've
completed, and the tasks that are yet to be done. You can also take time to
remember why you first got the job for some much-needed motivation.
While you clear your mind and set things straight,
you could also clear up your workspace.
Dress
up:
Looking prim and proper can bolster not only your
confidence but your mood too. So, throw on your best dress and spend some extra
time prepping up.
